About Us

Team5E helps US homeowners figure out what a home project should cost before they call a contractor.

Most cost information online is either too vague (“it depends”) or buried in lead forms. We publish clear price ranges, explain what changes the price, and build free calculators so you can estimate your own project.

What we cover

• Cost guides for roofing, kitchens, bathrooms, HVAC, plumbing and more, broken down by material and location.
• Calculators that turn your home size and choices into an estimate.
• Decor and improvement guides that compare products and options.

Who we are

We are a small, independent editorial team. We are not contractors and we do not sell home services. Our job is to research, organize and explain cost information so it is easy to use.

You can read exactly how we research and update our guides in our Editorial Policy.

How we make money

Team5E is free to read. We earn money from display ads and, on some pages, affiliate links. This never changes the numbers we publish. See our Affiliate Disclosure for details.
